Privacy & your data

MianBiwi holds some of the most personal information a couple has — health, money, family, children. Privacy isn't a feature here, it's the foundation.

Your data belongs to your couple

Everything you record lives in your private couple space. Only the two paired accounts in your couple can read it. No other user — and no one browsing the internet — can see your entries, your photos, or your numbers. Nothing in MianBiwi is public.

How that's enforced

Access is enforced at the database level, not just hidden in the app. Every record is tied to your couple, and the rules only ever return data to the two members of that couple. Even photos and attachments are stored in private storage that's scoped to your couple — a stranger with a link still can't open them.

This means privacy holds even if someone tried to go around the app: the data simply isn't readable by anyone outside your couple.

Within your couple

By design, paired spouses can see each other's couple data — that's the point of a joint app. The one exception is Sehat health metrics, where each number stays private until you choose to share it. See Sehat.

Apple Health

MianBiwi only ever reads the Health metrics you allow, and only to show them on your Sehat board. It never writes to Apple Health, and never shares a metric with your spouse unless you toggle it on.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from Settings. Deleting clears your data from the app on that device and removes you from your couple. If you simply want to step away, you can also leave your couple (Settings → Spouse → Leave couple) without deleting your account.
