App Lock & security
Because MianBiwi holds personal and financial details, you can lock the whole app behind your phone's biometrics — Face ID or Touch ID.
Turning on App Lock
- Go to Settings → App Lock.
- Toggle it on.
- Confirm with Face ID / Touch ID.
From then on, every time you open MianBiwi (or return to it after it's been in the background), the app asks for your face or fingerprint before showing anything. If authentication fails or is cancelled, the app stays locked behind a full-screen cover.
Why it's useful
- If you hand your unlocked phone to someone — a child playing a game, a friend checking a photo — MianBiwi stays sealed.
- A lost or stolen phone doesn't expose your budget, your family ledger, or your kids' moments.
Each phone is independent
App Lock is a per-device preference. Turning it on for your phone doesn't change your spouse's phone — each of you decides for your own device.
Your account sign-in
Separately from App Lock, your account itself is protected by how you signed in — Sign in with Apple or your email and password. Keep that secure; it's the key to your half of the couple. See Download & sign in.
