Kaam — small joint errands
Kaam (Urdu for work or a task) is the lightweight list for the little jobs of running a home together — pick up milk, call the plumber, return the parcel. It's deliberately simpler than Farmaish: quick in, quick done.
Adding a kaam
- Open Kaam from the More tab.
- Tap to add a new item.
- Type what needs doing. Attach a photo if it helps — a picture of the exact item to buy, or the shelf it's on.
- Save.
Both spouses see the list, and either can add to it or mark items done.
The nudge
If something's been sitting on the list, you can send your spouse a gentle nudge — a small reminder that lands as a notification. It's friendlier than a chat message and keeps the request tied to the actual task.
Grocery-list pattern
Kaam works well as a running grocery list: add items through the week as you think of them, and whoever's at the shop has the full list with photos. Tick things off as they go in the basket.
Kaam vs Farmaish
- Kaam → short-lived chores and shopping. Add, do, clear.
- Farmaish → wishes and wants worth a conversation, with a thread and a checklist.
Use whichever fits — many couples keep groceries and quick jobs in Kaam, and bigger "let's do this someday" ideas in Farmaish.
